Reality
Life is hard and God is good. Life is busy and God gives us peace. Life is demanding and God is merciful. Today, I'm embracing the reality that my life cannot exist without God. I've tried to do it without Him before, but I simply can't handle it.
Basics
Never compare where you are in Christ to others. This has been especially hard for me, even as a pastor. I look at other pastors and their churches and wonder if I will ever measure up to them. But, I don't need to. I simply need to be obedient to God.
Every life is different and all of God's gifts are unique to each of us, yet I believe we have a responsibility to use those gifts for His kingdom purpose. Let's start by getting back to basics today: reading God's Word, pouring out your heart to Him through prayer, spending time with others who are growing with you, and practice, practice, practice what He teaches.
