Last time, we shared about reaching out to others. How remaining in Christ, loving one another, and relying on His Holy Spirit is only half the story in reaching out. The other half is in making an invitation to others to follow Christ.
When we accept Christ, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are “…a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” In others words, we are transformed into something new and fresh by the Spirit of God. We are born again.
After transformation…what next? How do we become a follower of Jesus? By going to church, to a small group, or to a Sunday school? Will this be sufficient?
If Christ is within us, we must daily commit our lives to following Him. Our faith becomes genuine and we begin to develop endurance for abiding and growing in Christ for life.
